What I got for Valentine's Day...

I still can't believe he spent all that money ....

It has been a pretty darn good year .....

New house, new dog, new job, new floor .... yup, the first year in my
house has been a pretty good one. Hopefully many more happy years will follow.

Just spent the weekend with my mum - she flew in to see us. All I can
say is that it's interesting how the mother-daughter relationship has
evolved. She made the comment that it's been six years since I've
moved to Texas. It will be 10 years in July since I left Malaysia and
made the United States soil my home. Wow.

In fact, this July I've booked a ticket to go back to Malaysia to
visit my folks and see an old friend get married. It's interesting to
watch us all get older, some growing older faster than others
(mentally of course). The goals and perspectives of the future change
- it could be the career you end up in, the introduction of children,
the realization you have adult responsibilities now and that life is
not as simple as it used to be.... Nowadays I find myself very
focused on work, my husband/dogs/cats/extended family. Life is good.

In other news, it constantly amazes me the amount of money we humans
spend on entertainment, and the struggle we're willing to go through
to find the next best game to play. The husband and I recently quit
playing Lineage, and he's been hopping from game to game to game,
replaying old news, trying new ones. Me, I've moved back to the
console and have been dedicated to FFXIII - which I'm determined to
complete. So far it's been nearly 80 hours worth of game play, and
that's only a third.

Well, tomorrow's another day - another work week, another weekend.
I'm glad to say, I'm pretty content. : )
